Flat out

We had such a happy lunch with Jenny and Douglas today. It's always a pleasure to be in their company and I had a glass of rosé with lunch. After a chilly walk to feed the many ducks and seagulls we had a "cakenic" and headed home. We're all feeling pretty exhausted at the moment and as I lifted E from the car, she insisted on being carried upstairs and soon made her way to her bedroom, I thought to play but it was actually a far rarer thing, to sleep!
