Bangour Village Hospital

Nothing like a Sunday trip to an abandoned asylum.

It made me think - is it really better to have mental health provision only in wards and in community these days? Would places like this not be beneficial to people suffering from various mental disorders, places that were wee communities, with houses, shops, workshops and leisure centres?

Thanks to dwalletta and cassegw for letting me know about this place, it's well worth a visit.
