"Different" light

We are now in Iceland till Friday. We left Heathrow in sunshine and arrived at Keflavik airport in a full blown gale and torrential rain. The rain was pretty much horizontal and the process of walking to our hire car at the airport left us totally soaked.

The journey to our hotel was really pretty despite the pouring rain and I managed to grab this hand held shot in about 30 seconds before the camera (and I) got soaked. It shows Hvalfjordur just north of Reykjavik. The hotel that we are staying is on the other side of this Fjord

The weather forecast for the rest of the week is for more of the same right up to Friday when we come home so I very much doubt we will see any Aurora. However we thought the same in Norway last year and the weather did clear for us.

I'm just glad we've got the right clothing as "there's no such thing as bad weather"
