Pheasant fight!

We've had a great day! We went to Guildford, then Portsmouth where we had fish and chips for lunch, then on our way back we saw two male pheasants having a sparring match in the road! It was sort of like a deer rut. I was too far away to get a good shot of them, but intended to sneak closer. A car came the other way though and one flew off. This is the one who stayed, so I guess he's the 'winner'. I stalked him for a bit and got as close as I could. Eventually he flew off squawking loudly...
Now I'm trying to pack before having a lovely curry! :-)
