Winding things down.

February 2000. In the first one, I continue my obsession with super-heroes; the "all supes are gay" joke has been made many times, and I tried to change it up by having Ben walk into it. Kind of worked, a little.

The second strip: Tad and company are all undergrads - I didn't want to make them grad students like I was at the time, because then there'd be no reason for them to live in the gay dorm. And I didn't want to have them be freshman still right at the time I was getting ready to graduate and was feeling very nostalgic about college in general. My solution was to have them have years of life off-panel, which also made me more comfortable with how serious Frank and Tad were getting so quickly. All of which nobody noticed, and it was one more thing I'd wildly overthought. Still funny though.
