Country Cottage

Today involved a few rounds of outdoor ping pong with friends in Parc Leopold, behind the European Parliament. There was a lot of running about - we'll blame the wind, obviously, not our ping pong skills - but it remained relatively dry so we managed a good hour or so of ping pong fun, followed by a beer in Place Jourdan. My idea of Saturday bliss.

Here's one from Parc Leopold. The scene made me giggle when I came upon it - a modest country cottage surrounded by greenery and... completely overshadowed by the European Parliament. Not sure who owns it or whether it is public or private, but I certainly wouldn't have enjoyed getting the pre-development news that I was going to have a very, very formidable neighbour!
