Meet Beautyfoal and Richard

Seeing it was such a beautiful day I decided to have a good walk around the CBD. As I was entering Victoria Square I could see a horse being ridden around the square and we someone was filming them. Once I got the other side they had stopped and were talking to a American couple and he said he would love to ride the horse. So with some help he got onto her and had a little ride. The guy filming them didn't have a lot to say but when I asked if he was making a documentary he said yes... but wasn't saying much else.

We watched them ride of again in the middle of the street with the guy filming on the bonnet of the car going along the street.. hope they didn't meet any cops!

After that I took a few shots of more murals/street art going up around the city. I also took a shot of the egg at the Cardboard Cathedral and meet some interesting people from Finland and England and was talking to them for a while. It was really hot so I sat down by the river in the shade before heading of home again and along come the horse and her rider.

They come straight up to me and we started talking. I found out her name.. Beautyfoal and she is four years old and started her life as harness racehorse. We exchanged names and Richard the rider wanted me to send him a couple of shots I took them by email.. which I have just done. Richard told me he was of to the Boat shed so he could give Beautfoal and swim before heading of home.

I have often seen where they have been around the city but never been able to get a shot of them until today. Here is a article I found on line. I see that they spelt the horses name wrong.. it has a y not a i!
