Rediscovering another old friend

I really feel like I've been on a voyage of rediscovery over the last couple of months. Not only have I rediscovered my love for amateur theatre, I have also rediscovered my cross-stitch. In the play I've just finished my character had to sit and sew on stage, so I dug out one of my old, partially completed cross-stitch kits, and gradually added more stitches to it during the course of the run. I think it must be 6 years since I last did any cross stitch - something I never felt comfortable having within reach of small kids. But the kids are bigger now, so having brought this kit home from the theatre I am going to be keeping it on my side of the sofa, and will pick it up when I'm sitting and watching the TV.
