Uncle Gordon's daffodils

These are some of the daffodils that are all along Great Western Road, for miles. In our family they will always be known as Uncle Gordon's daffodils.

They were planted about 15 years ago, when my sons were about 4 and 6. We were talking about them at a family event and my brother in law Gordon said that the organisation he worked for at the time had planted them and it had been his idea to do it. My boys thought that meant he had planted them himself, every single one of them. So next time we drove along Great Western Road they got very excited about Uncle Gordon's daffodils.

Years later we still see them and say 'look Uncle Gordon's daffodils!'
