The ruins of McCarthy's Castle situated in an amazing location on Ballinskelligs Bay. A white sand beach, turquoise sea, Islands in the bay and all flanked by snow capped mountains. The sun was also shining, paradise! We have been in search of ancient sites of which there are many in the area. From here we drove across the bridge to Valencia Island and walked a circular route to Bray Head, the cliffs were dramatic and the views to the Skelligs spectacular!
