All day drama

Daughter #2 had to be at drama at 9:45 this morning. The session is usually at 12:45pm but as the performance is on Thursday, today's session was an all day one. Hubby dropped her off and I went to pick her up at 3:15pm. My son has his French oral GCSE on Tuesday and I encouraged him to prepare today.
After roast dinner, we sat down to watch an episode of Modern Family and we had a power cut. The stock that hubby was making had bubbled over on the hob and had gone into the holes around the stitches. This resulted in tripping the electricity.
