Red Ruffles

What a wonderful community this is! I have been overwhelmed with all the great comments on my 200 blip yesterday. Thank you all. I intend thanking you personally over the next few days.

It has been so cold here that the iceberg roses have turned winter pink. At least it has stopped raining. We had about 28mm of rain over a couple of days, which is amazing. Usually we get about 2mm at a time in summer. This rain will do wonders for the countryside after those days of nor'westers that had dried out the soil.

The poppies are in disarray. Only a few were good enough to photograph today. This was the best of them.
