After the rain

Oh joy, a fine weekend. Well, mostly. The sunshine and bright, clear light has been punctuated by showers of rain and hail. Just after a passing rain shower this afternoon the garden looked so glowing with vibrant colour that I just had to dash outside and snatch some shots.

I am a glutton for colour, and this little corner caught my eye: the rich deep red of flowers on a favourite shrub - that reminded me of the luscious new Jaguar I was driving last week - offset by the vivid blue and green of sky and grass. What a mood-lifting sight! Hello spring. You're more welcome than ever this year.
