Sometimes......

something deemed ugly is so weird it is beautiful!!!

We had a bunch of chores to do up in Sydney this afternoon....one of which was to refill the propane tank for one of the cabins.....so, while Terry was dealing with that, i wandered around, and found this....some kind of crane contraption!!!
i was pretty excited, thought this structure was quite amazing, but i really needed to pee....so i headed into the office....and then had this wonderful dialogue with the woman sitting behind the desk....

'what can you want to photograph around here?'
'well, that amazing looking structure out there....looks pretty awesome to me"
'oh that...it's so ugly...we've been trying to get rid of it for months!'
'well, sometimes something that is deemed ugly, is actually quite beautiful'
'i'll try and find out what's it for you...'
'thanks, i'd appreciate that'

Folks here on Cape Breton Island never cease to amaze me....how friendly, how accepting and how willing they seem to be to come thro with what you might want or need.....truly amazing people!!!

So, after hanging around this place - and i have to add it was so bloody cold.... we headed off into Sydney and finished the other chores....

I felt so content and happy when we got home and made a very late supper!
