Fear

The boys jumped on this little toy washing machine which we found in the local charity shop. Once home, we put some batteries in, dimmed the lights and shoved a few socks in it. Turns out Boo is petrified of it! The little one loves it though, thankfully. A few seconds after this freaked-out expression was captured, Boo decided that he couldn't be in the same room with the machine. Then, he curled up in a corner and totally freaked out because he could still hear it whirring. So strange, the things that set them off. He's fine with the actual real life washer which is far louder! I guess there is something a little sinister and uncanny about replica things - particularly things that rock slightly and give off an eerie glow. I suppose it's a bit doctor who esque in that regard.
