Helston Loe

A day spent walking along the coast path from Porthleven to the Helston Loe and back through the Penrose estate, which was the family home of Guy Penrose Gibson of Dambusters fame. It's a lovely walk and the National Trust have recently opened a tea room in the old stable block of Penrose House. No food other than cakes though.

After lunch at The Harbour Inn in Porthleven we set off in the opposite direction for another couple of miles, and on the way back home we dropped into Breage church, somewhere one side of my family may have known well.
