Big respect................

We set out to tackle the 76 miles of the Cobble Classic Cycle event around Towcester today. This was taken while queuing in biting winds to get to the start.

He made it and I didn't but an 'enjoyable' time was had despite the cold, strong winds, short but sharp hail showers and the many steep hills.

The day was organised by UKcyclingevents.co.uk and it was the first one we have joined.

A very well organised event with 1400 riders taking part. Hopefully not our last.

Rather ominously, the first feed station - 28 miles in - was next to a church-yard. How many felt like taking up residence after a gruelling morning I wonder.
