My lovely foster son Saman was nominated for an 'exceptional people in care ' (EPIC)
Award from West Sussex Social Services, which is a great honour indeed!
This was a huge occasion celebrating all kinds of wonderful achievements of young people in care, who often under perform ,be it in education or just socially and emotionally. This day celebrated achievements both huge and small, tailored to the individuals abilities, and it was actually quite wonderful to see their proud, smiling faces.......they are just beginning to realise how exciting their lives can become with a little effort and care, truly humbling afternoon indeed as many of these children have had horrendous starts to life !
