Inchcolm, across the Forth..
Although cold, it was a bright day when I was out briefly this afternoon. It was one of those day that looked warmer from inside than it was when I ventured out.
Nonetheless, the clear light allowed me to get this shot of Inchcolm, as I looked from Kirkcaldy across the Forth.
Incholm is the only island in the Firth with a recent resident population, of whom there were two in the 2001 census, although there was no resident population recorded at the time of the 2011 census.
There is a resident custodian employed by Historic Scotland who maintains the island and runs the shop during the summer.
