Sea junction

When I blipped the view towards the coast recently some people remarked on our proximity to the sea. Technically this is St George's Channel, the Irish Sea being further north.

It's just a 15 minute walk to get the cliff tops, although there's no actual access to the sea which is way down below. The cliffs are hospitable only to the birds that nest in their crevices.

This shot shows the point at which the path I take through the coastal moorland meets the Pembrokeshire coast path, part of a route that follows the entire periphery of Wales. The finger post points west-east, resembling a lone cross, as if to mark the spot where a ship was wrecked below many years ago.

I'd been given some meat scraps for the dog and took the excess fatty bits to throw to the gulls which screeched and squawked with delight, wheeling and diving through the biting wind.
