It's Going to Be A Bright Bright Sunshiny Day

Up and at it early for Parkrun . Bradford's 200th and our running club were hosting it.

Got there very early doors so I could run on my own before we set up for the run. At that time the dew was still there on the flowers and the grass and the sun was just beginning to make a decent appearance . Barely anyone else was there and running in peace with such beauty around you gives you some clarity and perspective.

What followed what entirely unpeaceful as I was Race Directing so had to do adopt a shouty role
( please suspend your disbelief ) to announce the race instructions to the crowd.

We had fun , we had cake, we had sunshine , we had 491 runners.

Bradford Parkrun and Saltaire Striders rocked today. ( I have now turned into the type of middle aged woman who thinks it is entirely acceptable to use the term " rocked " - note to self this is not acceptable , you are not a Blue Peter presenter )

Perfect start to the day , dovetailed beautifully with a perfect evening of Bradford curry, Yorkshire tea and jolly good company . ( Note to self please see previous brackets and instructions on vocabulary - "jolly " is not really a brilliant word choice either- please stop this nonsense ) .


Off to bed : tomorrow is going to be a long day my Mum is going in for heart surgery , we though got was Monday but it's been brought forward. Routine stuff so I am told , so let's get tomorrow running smoothly please universe .
