Rainy days and rainbows
Its been a sunshiney rainy hailstoney kind of day, a rainbow day. I asked D what he wanted to do today but he kept telling me he "hadn't thinked about it yet". When he finally decided, it was declared a jelly day. I had to be the grand old lady (at least that's what it sounded like, but he later told me I'm not an old lady but a grandEM whatever that is!) who gave medals to the little boy who made the best jelly in the world.
It was a bit cold and wet for the park so we got the paints out (well, the cheating magic painting books) and made a space for some sensory play with the rainbow pasta. It's brilliant stuff. We spooned it, shovelled it, ploughed it, sorted it, colour matched it. Lily threw it everywhere, shoved it down my top, poured it on her head, lay in it and made snow angels. Dylan got irritated with her 'ruining his soup'.
Treated ourselves to takeout pizza for tea and cuddled up watching WallE before bed :)
