Sore foot

Calling all podiatrists - what is the problem likely to be when you wake up with a really sore foot. More specifically, the ball of Mhairi's foot is constantly aching and she's struggling to walk now. She cannot even think what could have caused the problem.

Between this and my mum breaking her wrist on Thursday I think I will have a whisky to unwind.

Meanwhile, Mhairi is sitting with her foot in a basin of cold water to numb the pain.
