Out of the shade

Quite a number of winged insects have woken up from their winter hibernation recently, but since we replaced our up & over garage door with french doors, the insects haven't been able to get out without our hand of help. This is an angle shades moth & I didn't have the heart to let him out into the pouring rain & into the beaks of hungry, arguing sparrows but I did, I placed him deep inside a hedge of hawthorn, hope he's ok!
