Jelly Ears
Out foraging around Blackford Hill with my pal Monica. Lots of lovely edible wild plants so it was hard to choose a blip from all my snapping. I have selected the jelly ears because of their delightful weirdness and because they were in abundance on all the decaying trees above the Braid Burn. I have to admit they are not my favourite fungi (I find them a bit tasteless and chewy!) but I've yet to try them in a miso-style clear soup, which I have been told is the best way.
