some things you only recognize when someone rubs your nose in it: found "my" sticky-tape unwinder (is that the right term?) in a classic industry design book today.

made me realize how incredibly cool this little thing is. and i literally grew up with it - every member of my family owns his or her own one and you can still find it on everyone's desk. when cleaning out my grandpa's office, we found 3 of them. so at least 3 generations of my family see this item almost every day.

mine's all dirty and shabby, but i think that comes with daily use...
