Right under my nose

I really don't know what these are. I'm hoping you'll tell me.

These odd structures look like some kind of fungal fruiting bodies. They're 3-5mm in length. A "copse" of them were growing with lichen and moss on an old rotten fence. When you look closely the MACRO world is unfamiliar and fascinating.
