Sunrise over the power staation

Early start on this morning and the sunrise on the Mersey mud flats looked spectacular but just didn't have time to park up and walk back to the bridge to catch a blip so grabbed this one when I pulled into the works car park

The coal fired power station has been running just over forty years now the 8 towers (name of a local pub as well) and other water usage on the site requires 195 million litres of water every day from he local River Mersey

Although very rare one of the towers collapsed in November 1965 due to build up of vibrations caused by 85mph winds at the time
