Mitred squares

I made some little hats for Innocent smoothies last year (Big knit) and it reminded me of the soothing action of passing stitches from needle to needle. I've got a few odds and ends of wool left from the little hats and the fingerless gloves I made so I decided to have a go at making some mitred squares and joining them together as I knit to make a blanket (if I keep going). They are easy to knit, look quite fun (apart from the clashes of colours!) and keep my hands busy while I'm watching TV. I've also taken this on the train using circular needles so I don't poke my fellow travellers. It will soon get too big to lug around.
