Feeder watching

In between a little housework and other jobs I've been watching and photographing the birds on the feeder. One of these days I'll manage a really good image but today the wind was blowing too much. I've been fascinated by the way these Goldfinches just seem to drop in from sky and only use their wings when they need to take off from the feeder. Siskins and Greenfinches have also been feeding on here today, but my images of them were a little less sharp.

I also managed an hour or so in the garden this morning, trimming back the dead growth from some of last years perennials and lopping a little off some shrubs. I'm well on the way to filling the green bins again.
