Colourful!!

We set out for Little India and the Malay district looking for embroidery beads for a project that I'm planning. Spoilt for choice......but I got what I was after.

On the way back we viewed the World Press Photo 2013 Exhibition. Stunning photographs, but some were most harrowing and it's depressing to think that people can treat others in such barbaric ways.

This afternoon we had a guided tour of Raffles Hotel, organised by our hotel. Fascinating to see where Royalty, the rich and famous stay and hear about the history of the hotel, now a national monument!! At the end we visited the Long Bar for a Singapore Sling and to throw the peanut shells on the floor in the traditional way!!!
