Commitments

I can't remember the last time we had a day out in London, but a great day today. Saw the amazing photographs in the Wildlife photographer of the Year exhibition, which was hugely impressive. I was also really impressed with the Natural History Museum as a whole, including sheep grazing in the Wildlife Garden. The V & A was also very impressive, and while not an extensive collection I marvelled atstandong before photos by such as Cartier-Bresson & Dorothea Lange.
Wonderful busking at Covent Garden (nearly chose a photo to Blip) and a meal, and then off to see The Commitments at The Palace Theatre. One of my favourite films, it transferred well to the stage, though with more emphasis on the music than on the story.
London has changed enormously sinceI was last there, and for the better, I think. I'm not sure what it is like to run a bicycle rick shaw, but they certainly add another dimension to life in London.
What a great start to my first weekend off this year. Hope your weekend is great too.
