Are You Sure We're On The Right Boat?

Today was a looooooooong day.
Plan was, up and drive for the first ferry then over to Perth for a work's meeting then back in time for fish 'n' chips before the last ferry and home again. This would have been a long enough day in itself but add into the mix a healthy dose of snow and we have the potential for it to go pear shaped. The road was blocked just after the "Green Welly Stop" (two cars had gone off in the snow) but was just opening as we got there so we got to be the very first car along after the gritter which was good but kinda hairy. Hmm, earlier in the day one of our crew said "every journey I go on turns into an adventure.... but I always make it through". I'm glad she said the last bit as it carried us through.
Anyway, at the end of all that we get on the ferry home but earlier than expected and end up wondering why there was another ferry. End of the adventure or just the beginning? I couldn't cope with more adventure than that today so was quite relieved to see the bright lights of Tobermory and be home again.
