FRIDAY

It was supposed to be titled hooray it's Friday, but although the day started slowly it needed very differently.
As I was walking Harvey he got viciously attacked by a massive dog (I think an American Mastiff) it literally walked up and grabbed Harvey around his back and shook and shook him. I really thought we'd lost him as he just went limped. It dragged the owner and Harvey for 3 metres across the field. The owner and myself had to prise his jaws off Harvey (along with me kicking it....didn't know what else to do!). Afterwards Harvey just laid there...he opened his eyes and whimpered. As I went to get a blanket from the car he slowly got up and limped towards me. Shakily I drove to the vets where he had 2 injections. When I came out I dissolved into tears (thanks Mum for being on the end of the phone)
When I got home my neighbour agreed to take me to the owners house with the £92 bill!! To be fair to her she was almost as shocked and had obviously been crying. It had never done anything aggressive before but she agreed to get him a muzzle and offered to pay without questioning it. (Lets hope she does do both)

He is now looking very sorry for himself and it obviously hurts him to move. He couldn't even get up the stairs tonight.

TODAY'S SMILE: day off.....sadly it didn't last all day:(
