Pier 49

At regular intervals around the Broad there are little wooden decks (I think pier is actually too grand a name for them) and each one has nails hammered into them with a different number. Another nice spot to spend my lunch break.

There was a lot of helicopter activity going on above the university this afternoon. Hope it wasn't to do with anything sad or sinister. I understand that the last time this happened a body had been found in the Broad.

Back in London tomorrow for a rally to mark the UN Anti-Racism Day in Trafalgar Square at mid-day. Music, speeches and lots of photos to be taken. I'm travelling down with friends from Norwich on a bus organised and funded by the Norwich Trades Council. Looking forward to it immensely.
