Thomson's Pond

Visiting Richmond Park today. Sadly my time to photograph was the most overcast hour of the day. The Isabella Plantation is being overhauled; with new path surfaces. The breeze blocks for the new toilets were being delivered today.

This pond is named after George Thomson who was the Park Superintendent when the Isabella Plantation was laid out in 1953. In flower at the back is a Magnolia stellata. (I bought a guide for 50p)!
