World Aids Day
There are no prizes for identifying symbolism.
On This Day, December 1st:
1919: Nancy Astor becomes the first female MP to take her seat in parliament.
1942: The British government unveils plans for a post-war welfare state in the Beveridge Report.
1955: Civil rights activist Rosa Parks refuses to give up her bus seat for a white passenger in Alabama.
2009: NBOD posts 100th Blip.
2009: World Aids day.
On a recent journey to Africa one of our religious leaders encouraged the people of Africa not to use condoms. Personally, I would rather put my faith in those people that are actually knowledgable about the matter such as Doctors, Nurses, Scientists and experts in the field who actually deal with this matter on a daily basis. It just reminds me of the first advertising campaign in Britain that I remember and it seems to have grown in relevance.
Aids.
Dont die of ignorance.
