Rimulose

Secret Garden

This shot might give the impression that I’ve been scaling mountains looking for a rimulose shot. You might also think that these are large crevasses rather than chinks and fissures. You would be wrong on both counts.

This is a very small part (about 4cm by 3cm) of a rock I found in the garden this morning. This is taken at just about the limit of magnification my macro lens can manage and this secret little garden can hardly be seen with the naked eye. Once again I’m amazed by things that are there which we just can’t see without help. I have no idea what this little plant is. I don’t think it’s a moss and it’s not lichen so what is it?If you know………..
