Anchors Away!

Firstly a huge thank you to everybody who dropped by on yesterday's blip with kind comments and congratulations! I appreciate every single one of them - thank you so much!

Today was a 5.30am start to get to Kirkwall for the ferry to Westray, one of the far northern isles. Four of us from the craft shop went to visit a few of our existing suppliers to see what we would like to stock for the coming year. Very exciting seeing new lines, different designs etc and I got to try on more knitwear in a two hour slot than you would think possible! Photos were taken of our favourites and now the rest of the committee will make their choices.

We didn't have a lot of time but did manage fish and chips in the Pierowall Hotel between pottery and paintings! It's an Orkney tradition always to have the local fish and chips when in Westray!

This display of anchors is in Pierowall village . . . this is a quick blip as I must dash away and pack - we're off on the ferry to Aberdeen on Friday and there is much to do . . . . !
