Hurry up Harry!
It's not every day a blippertunity like this presents itself, so it's a must blip! I think I mentioned that the Tour de France (Yorkshire Section) will be passing our house in the Summer. The city is working up to a Tour frenzy, and today we has a small Amuse Bouche of what is to come when Harry Gration and Amy Garcia of BBC Look North passed by on their Tandem Tour in aid of Sport Relief. We were alerted to their imminent approach by the sound of lots of kids from the nearby school out on the pavement - the original schedule had them passing about 12:30, but they were early. If you're not a Northerner, you might not be familiar with them. Amy is quite new, but I cannot remember a time when Harry was not on Look North. Some may know him from his sports presenting and commentating. They've had some harsh weather to contend with so far - it's a tough enough route without the biting wind and rain. Today was still cold and a bit breezy, but at least the sun was shining for them and they had a downhill section in front of them. Nice that they stopped briefly to say hello to the school kids before passing our house.
