Bluebell goes Diesel
Tomorrow, the Bluebell Railway will celebrate the re-opening of the old railway line through from Kingscote to East Grinstead. I missed the gala opening and will be away for the anniversary :-(
However, as a (sort of) prelude they have a diesel gala today (Friday). It has attracted a degree of criticism; its a steam railway that models the history of the LB&SCR and the pre-war Southern Railway. None of whom had diesels.
However, passing their station on the way into to the local supermarket suggests that this is indeed going to be a popular day judging by the queue waiting to buy tickets.
