Sunrise

Out this morning for a run. Leaving the house and the sun is very low just now but a couple of kilometres in it's crept up a fair bit.

This was the view at the Allan Park this morning.

The clock in silhouette is the Memorial Clock in memory of George Christie a prominent business man of the town and Provost. Construction of the clock started in 1905 and was completed in 1906.

For me for as long as I can remember it has marked the town boundary. I have memories of walking to the town with my Mum as a wee girl and having the knowledge that that landmark either meant the end or the start of the mile walk home. To this day it still serves that purpose for me.
