It's the Terns Turn

I used to say about being in Florida..."A day without seeing the ocean in Florida...is a day wasted."

I still feel that way...although not as strongly as I used to.

So...back to the shoreline today. After a 5 mile walk...back to the car to get my camera. The subjects today were terns, seagulls, sandpipers, and skimmers.

I was having a REAL good time until little Bobby came along...chasing away my models with his small surfboard. Why is it that the toddlers like to do that? Someone please explain that one to me. They never catch them...so what's the point? After Bobby was done...little Tommy took over.

Here's my take on this picture:

2 randy terns were on a jetty...
waiting for the chance to impress Betty.
One looked left...the other looked right...
but neither tern was very bright.

Ya see...Betty approached from overhead.
She cried out..."Hey Bernie...hey Ned!
I WILL NOT BE JOINING YOUR FLOCK...
'CAUSE ALL YOU TWO DO...IS SIT ON THAT DOCK!!"

I actually took off my shoes and socks, and waded into the ocean to get this. A couple of waves jumped up, and doused my shorts. Oh well.

It's always a good day at the water. Peaceful...serene...calming. (EXCEPT FOR BOBBY AND TOMMY!!)

Got's to go get packed for the weekend Blip meet. Really looking forward to it...plus I've got a surprise for the other blippers. HINT (whispering)...it's red...it's juicy...it has little seeds...and it goes well with shortcake. Please don't tell them. HA!
