Ferruginous Cancer

This pillar should have been checked regularly for lumps and treatment applied as soon as any were found.

Sadly, negligence has allowed this rust tumour to erupt through the formerly protective skin of paint and start to spread across the surface. Drastic action will now be required.

Apologies: On bad blip days, one of my standbys is to pop down to one of the local harbours and photograph a few square centimetres of rusty metal. There seems to be a fair supply of it which should meet my needs for a good while yet.
The difficult aspect to such blips is finding something original to say about them.
