Little Grebe

We saw quite a few of these little grebes or dabchicks today on the Cromford Canal near Matlock, Derbyshire. Although it looks rather plump and rounded in the picture, little grebe are actually very small and very pretty. They are also rather shy so this picture is almost at the effective end of this camera's range.
