An up day and down day

Down is a friend let down in love and less distressingly but more annoyingly a netbook that seems to be giving up the ghost. And still a skip on the drive (tomorrow we are told).
On the up side it's our youngest grandson's first birthday. Where did the last year go? And very best of all our friends' son/grandson has just been brought round from the surgery he had a week ago and is breathing for himself for the first time since he was 6 months old. Tracheostomy has been removed. What an amazing little boy and what an amazing family.
