"The Minotaur and the Hare"

This is a 1995 sculpture by Sophie Ryder, situated in the centre of Cheltenham. According to Wikipedia, Ms Ryder "specialises in portraying mythical animals", so this is well within her standard genre. The accompanying plaque notes that it was purchased in 1998 by public subscription, with the"generous support" of Beaufort Homes, the Baker family, and the people of Cheltenham.
