Ivy On Bark

I wanted to try the Polar Coordinate filter in Photoshop. I decided I wanted an image with some form of vertical stripes in it so that when the image 'joined' it almost looked continuous.

I tried different tree barks and then I spotted ivy growing up a tree trunk so gave it try.

I cropped the image square - see here before editing in Photoshop. I use a little cloning to try and hide the join.

I quite like the way the ivy stems look like blood vessels,
