"The Old Guard"
A few years ago, about 2011 I think, had some of the best moments of my life. Work was locked down and I lived for the weekends, which I got to spend with just the best group of people. These three were three core parts of it, and pretty much every weekend we went out as a group, 10-15 people, to some club event or another. It didn't matter where we went; we took over the dance floor and always had a good time. 2-3 times a month I'd work all Saturday, change at work, grab a train into the city, meet up with everyone and be out until first train around 6 am Sunday morning. I'm feeling far too old for that shit now, but it's nice to get a night at a club with some of those people again. Many have left us, most moving to America, and more are soon to leave, so it's now working to keep connected with everyone.
That year also had one of the lowest moments of my life, but I don't think I would change anything about it. I learned so much about myself and grew close to so many people who still remain incredibly important to me. Would that we could all get together again, some time, somewhere.
