If you were to ask anyone who knows us even slightly well to name one thing we have in excess, the answer would instantly and undeniably be "BOOKS!"

We must have them in the thousands ... we ran out of shelf space a long time ago, and now most volumes are wedged in two-deep. They are piled on the floor, stashed in bins, tucked under tables, idling in the bathroom, lounging by the bed, teetering in stacks on the coffee table, even accumulating on the back seats of our cars!

For a while, I embarked on a strict regime of giving them away once they'd been read, but somehow or other that idea fell by the wayside, and the tomes threaten to take over once again. Perhaps we should just open a lending library.
